Happy Fall

Happy fall! As the days get shorter, the weather gets crisper, and the leave change color and crunch under your feet I'm reminded once again how wonderful life can be. If you haven't been able to figure it out yet late fall is one of my favorite times of year. Life has been full of travel and work which is fun but exhausting at the same time. Because I have no idea when I'll get around to posting again I thought I'd share a photo or two of my adventures in the Outer Banks recently and a few things that I'm thankful for this Thanksgiving.

I went to the OBX during in November, during a 3 system collision storm, so it was a little cold and crazy with 20 ft waves and 30 mph winds. Braving the weather one morning I got up early and was able to see the full force and majesty of the seas in swing. It was awe inspiring and kind of cold but totally worth it.

Recently I've been reflecting on life in general and where I am right now. Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays and I really enjoy having a holiday where we stop to think about the many things that happen in our lives.

There are so many things in my life for which I'm thankful. A big one is that I have a job, and even better I like it! The job has provided me with the means to be completely self sufficient and has allowed me to replace some expensive things that have broken this year, ie. a car and a computer.

I'm thankful that I have my health and that my family has theirs. I live in a country in which I can shout to the rooftops my beliefs and not be killed for them. Living in a new place can be difficult but I've made new friends and been able to visit the old ones. I'm so thankful I'm not in school anymore working on term papers due in 2 weeks. I'm so glad that I live in an age where I have electricity, heat, and indoor plumbing.

This is a list that could go on for a while, but suffice it to say there is a lot in my life to be thankful for. I hope that everyone out there has a wonderful thanksgiving with their family and friends. Hey, I'm also thankful for my readers :)
