I'm not exactly sure how to describe my life right now except to say that it is moving incredibly fast. I've traveled so much in this last year that I've almost made it to business class status on Southwest. So since it would be really hard to catch up on almost 3 months of life here are some of the highlights.
July- I was able to return home and spend a wonderful 10 days with my family over the 4th of July weekend. My brother was even able to come home for his birthday. The Midwest is so different from the east coast: the people let you merge on the highway and stop for pedestrians, the land is flat and not all built up, and the corn is far better than the stuff on the east coast. I miss Indiana but I think this trip I realized that life has changed and I don't know how to express it but as the Beatles say:
"There are places I remember, all my life though some have changed, some forever, not for better, some have gone and some remain. All these places have their moments, of lovers and friends I still can recall. Some are dead and some are living, in my life I loved them all"
The other big news for July is that I continued in my fellowship and will be living here on the east coast for at least another year.
August- I spend a lot of August at the beach, what can I say life is tough! I have been also blessed to celebrate another year of life and even though I had to work my friends made it a most memorable birthday.
September- I went to a family wedding in MN and had a blast. It has been a long time since all of my Dad's side has gotten together and we all had so much fun. We danced until midnight, rode a roller coaster in the Mall of America, and were able to see the most beautiful cathedral in the US that I think I've ever seen.
I also made a major purchase this month when poor Red needed more work than blue book value. Once again God showed his wonderful provision by having a car on the dealers lot that had ever possible thing I could want in a new car with a $2000 price drop that happened the day before I bought it. It's a silver VW Wolfsburg edition and I've named "him" Rocket!
Rocket and I have already been on a road trip to Chincoteague and boy is he fun to drive.
So this time capsule is a brief snapshot of where I am right now. I try to be more diligent about updates in the future but as Doc Brown says "Future !?!? Were already in the future!!".
